August 10, 2006, Vietnam – Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV),
a leading global provider of business communications applications,
systems and services, has signed an agreement with InformationVN (IVN),
a leading IT solutions provider, for IVN to become a member of the Avaya
BusinessPartner program, and to deliver and service Avaya’s market-leading
enterprise communications to businesses and organizations in the Vietnam market.
Under the terms of the agreement, IVN will provide sales, marketing,
distribution and support for Avaya’s enterprise IP telephony and contact
center solutions to businesses in Vietnam. Avaya will provide training
and certification in the delivery of converged voice and data networking
and applications to IVN’s sales force as well as supporting services to
enterprises in Vietnam.

According to global growth consulting company, Frost & Sullivan,
Vietnam’s enterprise telephony market is expected to grow at a compound
annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.4 percent from 2005 to 2012, to reach
US$66.4 million by end-2012.
Through collaboration with another Avaya BusinessPartner, Sun Ivy & NSE Inc.,
Avaya already counts numerous governmental organizations, multinational corporations
and local enterprises among its enterprise telephony customers in the country.
With the addition of IVN to the BusinessPartner program, Avaya is better positioned
to serve telecommunications, banking, financial services and insurance businesses,
which are increasingly utilising IT as a competitive differentiator.
